Mythili Ganesh is a distinguished artist with immense
experience in a variety of arts and paintings. Mythili was born and
brought up in Palghat (Palakkad) in Kerala State in India and her
ancestors hail from Tanjore and they migrated to Palghat in 1800 AD.
Mythili completed her academic education in Palghat by obtaining her
B.Com degree. She was attracted by the beauty of the Tanjore Paintings
and took to the art. She had a passion for the paintings since childhood
and completed a diploma course from a renowned institution in Chennai
at the age of 15. She also learned oil painting from the Birla Academy
in Calcutta and Aluminum embossing paintings. Her other hobbies include
sewing, embroidery and Carnatic music. She is married to Mr. Ganesh
and has a son, Asvin.
Mythili has done over 200 paintings to date and has
been teaching Tanjore Paintings for the past six years and will continue
to do so for anyone who is interested in learning. She has made paintings
based on large orders that were placed, for example, to be put up
in living rooms and pooja rooms of newly constructed houses. She is
prepared to take orders from individuals and do custom paintings to
their complete satisfaction.
Mythili's objectives are to increase the awareness
of Tanjore arts and to make them available to a wider audience by
making them more affordable and easier by making it possible to order
via the ubiquitous Internet, by keeping the lead time from order to
delivery low and by guaranteeing complete customer satisfaction.
Classes
Mythili Ganesh teaches the art of Tanjore paintings
to those interested. At this point in time, classes are offered only
in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala, India.
